Lake District Hotel in Grasmere - Bridge House Hotel - Gallery 2

Panoramic photographs of Grasmere and elsewhere in England's Lake District. These may give you a flavour of the beauty of the English Lakes landscape but they cannot come close to the real visitor experience! Also, visit our Haystacks page or our Blencathra page for pictures from two of our favourite walks in the Lake District. For pictures of the Lake District from the air visit our Air Gallery.

Bridge House Hotel in Grasmere village is ideal for Lake District walking.

The Helvellyn range, the Langdale Pikes and the Fairfield Horseshoe, are all within walking distance of Bridge House Hotel. Also, there are numerous low-level walks for those feeling less energetic, such as up to Alcock Tarn, or around Grasmere Lake, or along Loughrigg Terrace, or beside Rydal Water.

All hotel bedrooms at Bridge House Hotel have en-suite facilities, and nearly all have a bath (with shower), so you can sooth your tired limbs with a relaxing soak when you come back to the hotel. The Bridge House Hotel full English breakfast has been especially designed to give you the energy you'll need in the mornings, and your evening meal is sure to give you the reward you deserve upon your return later on.

Walking Guides
Bridge House Hotel offers two Lake District walking guides by Jonathan Craig. Uniquely, the routes featured are revisited regularly and the guides are updated (even traditional & established walks sometimes change e.g. a path becomes blocked or a new bridge appears!). Some walking routes are available directly from Bridge House Hotel.

You can buy your guides at the hotel when you arrive or you can buy online.
